For 100 years, our Main Office at 2 South Main Street has been part of the story of downtown Mansfield.
In September 1926, thousands of people gathered to celebrate the opening of the Mechanics Building & Loan Company’s new home. The celebration lasted from the afternoon into the evening and featured elaborate floral displays, 1,200 roses for guests and 2,000 souvenir rulers. More than 3,200 people are estimated to have attended.
Nearly a century later, the building remains a familiar part of downtown Mansfield. While the city, banking and the Main Office have evolved over the decades, our commitment to our customers and community continues.
“As we celebrate 100 years at our Main Office, and 140 years in business, we are grateful for those who came before us who built this strong foundation and for the customers, employees, shareholders, and community partners who continue to shape our future.”
Mark Masters, President & CEO
