Mechanics Bank is pleased to announce Johanna Beer, Emily Cline, Abby Kaufman and Abby Snyder have been awarded the James A. Courtney Award. The Award is presented to Mechanics employees who best exemplify the company’s mission – “to pursue excellence in every possible way to enrich the lives of people and the communities we serve.” The award is presented on a peer nomination basis.
Johanna Beer joined Mechanics in 2014 as a Customer Service Representative and currently serves as a Senior Accountant. Johanna holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from The Ohio State University and is also a Certified Treasury Professional.


Emily Cline joined Mechanics in 2005 as a Customer Service Representative and currently serves as Manager of Loan Administration. She is a graduate of the Ohio Bankers League Bank Management School and Bank Leadership Institute. Emily serves on the United Way of Richland County Board of Directors.
Abby Kaufman joined Mechanics in 2020 as a Customer Service Specialist and currently serves as the Assistant Branch Manager at the Lexington Office.


Abby Snyder joined Mechanics in 2008 as a Customer Service Representative and currently serves as Senior Vice President, Risk and Strategic Initiatives. Abby holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Toledo. She serves on the Catalyst Life Services Board of Trustees and is a graduate of Leadership Unlimited.
The James A. Courtney Award, named for Mechanics’ former President, is the company’s most prestigious recognition of performance. Mechanics Bank is an independent, community bank.
